BSkyB has launched its multiscreen service Sky Go on Android devices.
Android smartphone users with a Sky subscription can from today use the devices to watch up to 22 live channels, including all four Sky Sports channels.
Sky Go is available to Sky TV customers at no extra cost but what they are able to watch depends on the Sky TV subscription taken. Users can register two devices and watch on both at the same time.
“We fully appreciate how much Android users have been looking forward to the launch of Sky Go, and we’ve done everything we can to make sure that our bespoke design for Android handsets is worth waiting for,” said Holly Knill, head of Sky Go, Sky Player and mobile TV at BSkyB, when the company announced it would expand onto Android.
